On the way to Nelson / En route vers Nelson

Just a quick post to write about the way to Nelson, since we took the ferry (53 NZD as cheapest price!!!!) to reach the South Island and had with Sara and Lotta our first hitch-hiking experience ever.
Despite the very bad weather, the landscape was awesome. The bus driver who picked us up at the harbour in Picton was kind enough to wait for Sara and dropped us to the best place for hitch-hiking.

From there, we were very lucky, because a car picked us up within 5 minutes. It was two Australian guys who were on Holidays in New-Zealand and took us in their mini-van. We had a lot of fun and ended up going to the Museum of Nelson all together. Great trip from Wellington to Nelson, great memories!

Un petit article rapide concernant notre voyage de Wellington à Nelson. Nous avons d'abord pris le Ferry de Wellington à Picton (53 NZD par trajet, prix le moins cher... aïe!), puis Sara, Lotta et moi avons eu notre première expérience d'aoto-stop de Picton à Nelson.

Malgré un très mauvais temps, les paysages étaient superbes. Le chauffeur qui faisait la liaison entre le port et Picton a été suffisamment sympa pour attendre Sara et ne pas partir sans nous. Puis il a fait un petit détour pour nous déposer à l'endroit le plus propice aux auto-stoppeurs.

De là, nous avons eu beaucoup de chance car une voiture s'est arrêté en moins de 5 minutes. C'était 2 Australiens en vacances qui nous ont fait monté dans leur van aménagé. On a bien rigolé et on a fini par aller au musée de Nelson tous ensemble. Bref, un super voyage !
