The city of Chiang Mai celebrates every year on the first week-end of February, the flower festival, a big moment in the season. This year, the city celebrates the 40th anniversary of the festival and also its 720th birthday, since Chiang Mai was founded in 1296.
The festival lasts 3 days and offers a lot of animations, but the highlight is the big parade, which I unfortunately missed because of a trekking. It was of course a big disappointement, but I could still enjoy the rest of the festival (exhibitions, shows etc).
It also gives me a good excuse to come back to Chiang Mai :)

La ville de Chiang Mai célèbre chaque année, pendant le 1er week-end de février, le festival des fleurs. Cette année, la ville fêtait le 40e anniversaire du festival, ainsi que son propre 720e anniversaire, puisque Chiang Mai fut fondée en 1796.
Le festival dure 3 jours et offre de nombreuses animations. Mais le moment phare reste la grande parade, que j'ai malheureusement manqué à cause d'une randonnée. Ce fut bien évidemment une grosse déception, néanmoins j'ai quand même pu profiter du reste du festival (expositions, spectacles etc).
Et cela me donne une excuse pour retourner à Chiang Mai :)
